ROAD TRAFFIC MONITORING

Sensor Line's unique fiber optic technology, the complex structure of the traffic sensors and the modular expansion possibilities form the basis of the company's reliable measurement systems. Its sensors are used throughout the world in various applications in road traffic.

VEHICLE VOLUME

Vehicle volume detection is essential for all Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic engineering analyses. Measurement of vehicle volumes and their composition (class, speed, occupancy, progress, gap, congestion) is also one of the basic functions of traffic management and road planning. Sensor Line road traffic sensors guarantee the highest possible quality in the correct detection and supply of vehicle volume data. Knowledge of the data collected is important to develop a reasonable transport policy for the movement of passengers and goods for both the government and the private sector (Public-Private Partnership - PPP).
Sensor Line road traffic sensors can be used for many vehicle volume applications in various operational areas.

VEHICLE COUNT

The center line detection vehicle count is the simplest and most common measure of road use. The information and data of the counted vehicles support all the main fields of road traffic monitoring, such as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), highway planning, as well as traffic management. traffic and traffic engineering analysis. Sensor Line's road traffic sensors, with their unique fiber optic sensor technology, are the most accurate and reliable axle count sensors on the market. Accurate collection of vehicle characteristics data allows highway operators to monitor and manage traffic flows in real time at minimal costs.
Sensor Line's different types of high-performance sensors are designed for various traffic monitoring applications in various operational areas.

AXLE COUNT BASE

It is used in heavy traffic roads, or in those in which starting or braking occurs in the detection zone of the axes.

The vehicle passage control systems on toll highways are the following:

  • Manual control systems (performed by an operator)
  • Control systems and automatic payment (carried out by the user himself)
  • Systems through automatic system (TAGS)

All these systems use detection and pre-selection systems for the vehicles that are transiting, in which sensors or sensors placed on the pavement are generally used, which, depending on their situation, indicate the type of vehicle that is circulating.

The bases, rammers, sensors or axle count sensors are mechanical-electrical parts that transmit electrical signals to a central receiver, whose utility is the mechanical count of the axles of transit vehicles. They are made of rubber with steel protection sheets.

Main features leddar iS16

  • IP67 weather resistant housing
  • LCD and binary output configurations available
  • 16 independent detection segments

  • Detection range up to 50 m
  • 45° horizontal field of view

Presence detection mode

The IS16 software includes the PNP / NPN presence detection mode, which allows outputs to be set based on the presence of objects within the configured detection zones (two zones; one per output). Thanks to the Teach Configuration function, it is possible to define the perimeter of the sensor environment as a detection zone. In quick mode, a near limit and a far limit can be easily set to quickly define zones. Alternatively, zones can also be manually configured in Advanced mode, with the option to set near and far limits for each segment or disable unwanted segments.

Raw Measurements Mode

The IS16 provides the ability to acquire and record all measurements from all segments in real time via the RS-485 link. Each measurement generates an estimate for the distance to the detected object, the rate of the segment in which it was detected, and the intensity of the measurement (an indication of how much light was reflected off the object and captured by the sensor).

LOOPS CONTROLLER

Application

With the new VEK MNE1/MNE2 loop detector, FEIG ELECTRONIC offers a device with three fundamental innovations.

The detector appears in a new design, is significantly faster than its predecessor and offers a USB interface for connection to a PC, Notebook or Tablet-PC.

Using FEIG's free diagnostic and service software, existing detector settings can be displayed and, if necessary, changed on site easily and conveniently.
